Authors choose a brief biographical sketch of the medicine bachelor Francisco González del Álamo, based exclusively on primary documents. By documentation it is proved the beginning and continuity of medicine lessons by González del Álamo from January 12,1726 to foundation of Royal and Pontifical University of Maximun Doctor Saint Gerónimo of Havana, January 5,1728, from which beginning higher medical teaching in Cuba. A brief biographical sketch of physician González del Álamo is translated.
