Abstract

IZAGUIRRE REMON, Rafael  and  BRIZUELA ARCIA, Elda. A didactic foundation for the practice of the medical education universalization. Educ Med Super [online]. 2006, vol.20, n.3, pp. 0-0. ISSN 0864-2141.

The universalization of medical education involves the need to clarify the scientific bases of the design of new pedagogical models, curricula, and professional training methods reaching services and units of the national health system in all the municipalities of our country. A starting point is the experience accumulated in didactics and curricular desing by Cuban higher medical education. Assessments were made from a didactic approach of the universalization process on the basis of a theoretical model for its organization, in agreement with the holistic-configuration theory and the design by competences.
