To study the structure of the human organism, it is divided into organic systems or in body regions, and analytical-synthetic teaching methods are applied. The regional division of the human body is established in somatic areas and starting from the main parts of the body. Body regions may be superficial and skeletal, which present differences that sometimes lead to errors. The aim of this paper is to underline the differences among superficial and skeletal regions to avoid mistakes. To facilitate the understanding of analytical-synthetic teaching methods, based on the logical way of thinking development, a review of the main aspects of the cognitive activity and its application to the study of Anatomy (general and special) was made. Finally, the differences between the superficial and skeletal regions of the human body and their usefulness for the study of the organism and for their clinical application were specified.
