Abstract

VIDAL LEDO, María. Educative model for the training of the Cuban public health human resources in health information management. Educ Med Super [online]. 2007, vol.21, n.4, pp. 0-0. ISSN 0864-2141.

Objective: to present the grounds of the educative model for the training of human resources in health information management. Development: it starts from the learning needs for the training of competences that allow an adequate performance in the Cuban health systems and services. The training, design and architecture axes of the referred model are analyzed. Conclusions: the model integrated a process that takes into consideration the habilitation, upgrading, training and improvement of the human resources in health information management. It helped to have a wide profile graduate specialized in the disciplines of Informatics, Health Statistics and Scientific Information. Its integration into the development strategies of the National Health System, into the informatization sphere of the sector, and in the universalization of higher education in the Health Technology Licentiate, was highlighted
