Abstract

Present trend of medical education are a challenge for universities to answer with appropriateness quality to emergent changes in its environment. OBJECTIVE: to present a design of Pediatrics subject of Surgeon Physician bachelor's degree of Autonomous «Juarez» University of Tabasco State. METHODS: a development, descriptive, qualitative-quantitative mixed study and a exploration of perception on involved in training process: students, graduated and professors, as well as the documentary analysis of such program and those developed in other medical universities. RESULTS: from this diagnosis it was worked out a proposal on Pediatrics subject redesign with a proper organization of its components in instructive, educational and developer dimensions according the academic, technical and researching integration in correspondence with identified difficulties, author consideration, and the changes in contemporary medical education. CONCLUSIONS: authors identified different criteria from students, graduated and professor related to Pediatrics subject program.
