Abstract

An analysis of the evolutive process of the fifth year medical students from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Pinar del Rio that were studying Ophthalmology from 1996 to 2000.was made. The number of frequent evaluations as well as the marks obtained in the practical and theoretical exams and the final mark of this subject were analyzed. Students were divided into 2 groups: internal and external. Every student had 8 evaluations as an average. The mark predominating in the practical, theoretical and final test was 5 points. No significant differences were found between the external and internal students
