Abstract
GONZALEZ RODRIGUEZ, Liudmira et al. Retinoblastoma: late-onset and atypical presentation. Rev Cubana Oftalmol [online]. 2018, vol.31, n.1, pp. 170-177. ISSN 1561-3070.
ABSTRACT Retinoblastoma is the most common malignant intraocular tumor in childhood, representing about 4% of all cancers at that stage of life and 1% in general. A description is provided of a late-onset panuveitic retinoblastoma in an 11-year-old male patient initially diagnosed with ocular toxocariasis. The disease is rare in people over 8 years of age, but it should be included in the differential diagnosis. Late or mistaken diagnosis constitutes a risk to life and a worse visual prognosis.
Keywords : retinoblastoma; late onset; uveitis; differential diagnosis.
