Abstract
ALVAREZ PEREZ, Adolfo. Sesgos cognoscitivos del gerente: su influencia en la toma de decisiones. Rev Cubana Salud Pública [online]. 2000, vol.26, n.1, pp. 5-11. ISSN 1561-3127.
The decision making process may be defined as a volitional activity of the manager. The present paper deals with the above assertion on approaching from a psychological point of view a group of aspects that are included in the decision making process. Special emphasis is made on the role played by the cognitive biases and by the system of needs and motivations of the individual that accomplishes this function. The Atkinson/Mc Cleland typology linked to the manager´s aspirations is used. A group of tools are shown as intervention alternatives.
Keywords : DECISION MAKING; MANAGEMENT.
