Abstract

GONZALEZ, Ivonne; YAILEN, Arias  and  PETEIRA, Belkis. GENERAL ASPECTS OF Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici-TOMATO INTERACTION. Rev. Protección Veg. [online]. 2012, vol.27, n.1, pp. 1-7. ISSN 1010-2752.

Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici (Sacc.) Snyder and Hansen is the causal agent of the vascular wilt in tomato. The use of resistant varieties is one of the most effective methods for managing this disease. This paper summarizes the biochemical and molecular mechanisms mediating the natural and induced resistance to Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici-tomato interaction.

Keywords : Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici; induced resistance; interaction.
