Abstract

The presence of Dysmicoccus brevipes Cokerell is reported for the first time in the country in the flower rhizome of Hedychium coronarium Koenig, whose symptoms are characterized by tissue necrotic, depressions, in which abundant populations of this insect were found in different development stages.
