Abstract

The multimediatic convergence is one of the greatest challenges of the digital era. In an environment where the boundaries between mass media and communication services such as telephone, TV, radio and computers among others are disappearing, mediatic convergence can be understood as a phenomenon with many dimensions: technological, economic, social and political. The literature on this topic was review to determine the main trends that distinguish this phenomenon. The applications, perspectives and transcendency were analyzed. A new scene for information management is emerging, it is a great challenge for professionals.
