Some basic elements on "Books for life", a project for reading promotion in a pediatric ward of Cuban National Institute of Oncology and Radiobiology are exposed. The basis of reading promotion activities are analyzed as well as methodology and tools experiences obtained by authors during the different steps of the project are also exposed.
