A bibliographical review is carried out on Teucrium gender so as to review its use in other countries and in ours with therapeutic purposes, and gather current information for future pharmacological investigations. It was proved that many countries study this gender from the structural point of view. The main therapeutic properties described are: Tonic, diuretic, antifebrile, antihelmintic, and antidiarrheal. These properties mentioned above are attributed to TEUCRIUM cubense, Jacq, which has been studied in Mexico as hypoglycemic and as insecticide in Spain.
