A descriptive and a transverse study on the behavior of the abortion in the adolescent population of the occidental territory of Camagüey's province, were accomplished from January 1997 to August 1998. It found that the 26, 2 % of young people an abortion was accomplished, the menstrual regulations were the 47, 6 %, 25 % of the sepsis posinterruption corresponded to the teens. Over the fourth part of the abortions accomplished in the provinces corresponds to the minors of 20 years. Almost the one-half all the menstrual regulations of the province correspond to the teens. It is concluded that the abortion in the minors of 20 years constitutes a problem of health for the territory.
