Abstract

A study behavior of elective surgeries is carried out in patients admitted at the service of general surgery of "Manuel Ascunce Domenech"Provincial Hospital within the period form January 1997 to December 1999; the pervailing age was that neosed more surgical intervention and as disease asosciated surgery risk. It was found arterial hypertension followed by malignant affectives related with the age of patients. The cause of death most frequent was acid- basic and hydromineral unbalance. These aspects should be corrected either in preoperatory period or in the inmediate postoperatory.
