Abstract

FERNANDEZ PEREZ, Raúl; PILA PEREZ, Rafael; PILA PELAEZ, Rafael  and  GUERRA RODRIGUEZ, Carmen. Endometriosis of the abdominal wall. Study of two cases. AMC [online]. 2001, vol.5, n.5, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1025-0255.

We report two cases of abdominal wall endometriosis secondary to cesarean section, in 40 an 41 years women, respectively. The clinical presentation was a painful abdominal mass of four and six years evolution. The treatment was surgical. The clinical course was good, without recurrence after 16 and 24 months of follow up. Because of the rareness of endometriosis in such localization, we discuss the cases and the aspects of the etiopathogenesis, clinical picture, diagnosis and treatment are analyzed.

Keywords : ABDOMINAL MUSCLES; ENDOMETRIOSIS [etiology]; ENDOMETRIOSIS [diagnosis]; ENDOMETRIOSIS [terapia]; CESAREAN [adverse effectes].
