Abstract

ALVAREZ LOPEZ, Alejandro et al. Patellar chondromalacia. Behavior of some clinical, therapeutical and epidemiological aspects. AMC [online]. 2002, vol.6, n.3, pp. 288-293. ISSN 1025-0255.

An explicative study was carried out in a member of thirteen patients diagnosed and treated for patellar chondromalacia by arthroscopy at Manuel Ascunce Domenech Provincial Hospital of our city. It was found a higher incidence in the femenine sex with 61, 5 %. The age group most afeccted was over 45 years for 38, 4 %. Chondroolacia grade II prevailedin 46, 1 %. Meniscus injuries were most frequent associated pathologies in 38, 4 %. Complication index in this procedures is very low with only 15, 3 %.
