Abstract

Acupuntural analgesia is attracting the interest of health professionals and the member of specialists who study this topic is growing every day. Based on the idea of mitigating pain, an interventionist trial was carried out in 30 adult patients of both sexes, 20 years old or over with Carpal Tunnel's Syndrome at the Military Hospital. It gave us the possibility of evaluating the effectiveness of this method in the surgery of the pathology, being indispensable condition. Electroacupucture was applied in the selected points and anesthesia by freezing in the skin. Results were effective in the 86, 7 % of patients and adverse reactions were minimal.
