Abstract

A cross-sectional study in 244 women of fifteen years or older from Health Clinic 24, Family Physician Plan of " Ignacio Agramonte" Policlinic, during 1999, was carried out with the aim of screaning breast cancer. All women were performed physical exam of breast and in those positive for positive for affections of this organ, ultrasonography was used for defining diagnosis. The age group with higher frequency was that older than 600 years; women neither with familyu history o cancer nor with own history of breast affections, with their first child before 30 years, menarche from 12 to 14 and body sige within 9,38 % had benign lesions and 0, 81 % malignant
