Abstract

A descriptive study was performed with the aim of assessing the general information about AIDS in odontology of Camagüey municipality within the period from May 2000 to 2001. The study universe was composed by 303 odontologists the selected sample was formed by 142 odontologists the whom surveys were applied with the aim of proving the information level about oral manifestation related with the disease. It was observed that general knowledges about HIV- AIDS were regular; symptoms, signs of the disease and oral manifestations are unknown, however the level of information about HIV-AIDS affection is correct as well as the knowledge on the disease and ways of transmission.
