Camagüey province for the external evaluation of lab quality of secondary care since 1996,uses the National Program of Quality designed for primary care(SECAL). The means of Variance Rates (MVR) were of 174,170 and 164 from that date to 1998,this situation suggested the need to detect those laboratories that obtain wrong values and correct them , that is why the conditions were created for the evaluation of truth. Trough the evaluation of controls by both programs, it was determined those correctly evaluated(which coincides) and those stressed by one or the other program (which do not coincide),during the years 1999,2000 and 2001. In our work ,it was calculated sensitivity ,specificity, eficiency and youden's index according to the results of this period,and there was a progessive increase in the above mentioned of the majority of components evaluated.
