A descriptive study was performed with the aim of evaluating the biosecurity norms about AIDS in Odontology in Camagüey municipality, from May, 2000 to July 2001. The study universe was composed of 203 odontologists; the selected sample was formed by 142 Odontologists. It was proved the level of information of biosecurity norms related with the disease and the information about the personal protection norms was regular as well as the knowledge about the behavior to follow if there is contact with the infected blood. The level of information as to the instrument and discarded material handling was excellent and the information as to attention to the AIDS patient and the handling of non odotologico objects was good.
