Abstract
BASULTO BARROSO, Manuel Maurilio et al. Kidney tumor and pregnancy: Case report. AMC [online]. 2004, vol.8, n.6, pp. 117-124. ISSN 1025-0255.
The case of a parturient of 21 d with antecedents of hematuria during pregnancy is presented. She was admitted with manifestations of intensive pain in right flank accompanied by macroscopic hematuria. It was found cutaneous-mucous paleness and abdominal tumor localized. In right flank painful and fixed in deep planes, at physical exploration. Ultrasonography showed a right kidney with hyperechogenic mass of 53 x 75 mm to inferior pole. Tomographic study displays an expansive process of homogeneous density in equal localization; right supcasular nephrectomy was carried out and histology confirmed that it was a liposarcoma with deep infiltration in kidney. The association of cancer and pregnancy is not common so, convenient diagnosis and optimum treatment is difficult.
