Abstract

A descriptive study was carried out for characterizing clinical forms and more frequent complications of ischemic cardiopathy at Manuel Ascunce D Provincial Hospital of Camagüey, the universe rose to 480 patients, prevailing the age groups of 51 years (86, 66 %), masculine sex (57, 50 %), and white skin (83, 33 %) .The unstable chest angina, acute myocardial infarction and supraventricular arrhythmias were in this order the main clinical forms. Alive patients represented 92, 5 %; the higher present of deceased, in relation to the total of sample, corresponded to those infracted (4, 16 %); only a third of patients presented complications, with more frequency the pulmonary edema and nosocomial bronchonemonia, eventhough pulmonary thromboembolism was the main complications among the deceased.
