Abstract

This paper reports on a case of herb poisoning as caused by purple basil tea an administered 12 hours before onset to a four years, 38-pound patient with a past history of two days evolution acute respiratory infection. The patient was admitted immediately to the hospital, where he stayed for 10 days, five out of which he spent ay intensive care unit. We recommend that administration of herbal decoction and infusions be subject to further study to assess short and long-term side effects.
