Abstract

ROMERO SANCHEZ, Ramón  and  SANTANA ALVAREZ, Jorge. Intraabdominal perfusion pressure: A new predictive quotient in surgery. AMC [online]. 2006, vol.10, n.3, pp. 144-151. ISSN 1025-0255.

Intraabdominal perfusion pressure is a parameter in the management of complex surgery patients. Such surgery available from the 1980 has won acclaim among therapists on account of its specificity. Abdominal compartment syndrome is no longer on insurmountable obstacle and morbimortality caused by it has consequently decreased. Measuring intraabdominal perfusion through a mathematical quotient has paved more selective ways for patients treatment this paper reviews the literature on the subject and highlights its realities and possibilities.
