Abstract

COLMENARES SANCHO, Francisco et al. Airway in a patient with cleft palate: a case report. AMC [online]. 2011, vol.15, n.2, pp. 352-358. ISSN 1025-0255.

Background: cleft palate is a congenital defect of structures that form the palatal vault, and it is characterized by an aperture or opening in the upper palate. Objective: to describe the handling of the airway in a patient with cleft palate. Clinical case: a case of a patient with type IV cleft palate of 45 year-old was presented, with diagnosis of sigmoid tumor, who was approached the airway for elective surgical treatment at the Teaching Hospital Manuel Ascunce Domenech.
