Abstract

MENDEZ, Gladys et al. Variación de índices farmacognósticos en Passiflora incarnata L. con la época y hora de cosecha de la droga. Rev Cubana Plant Med [online]. 2001, vol.6, n.3, pp. 98-104. ISSN 1028-4796.

To know the influence of the time and hour of the drug’s harvesting on its quality, we made a monthly evaluation from July, 1992, to June, 1993 except for January and Febrruary, 1993. 8 evaluations a day (every 3 h) were made one day of every month between July and October, l992, in Passiflora incarnata L. In each sample we evaluated: harmine type alkaloid content; percentage of foreign organic matter, inorganic matter, darkened leaves, moisture, total ashes, sulphated ashes and ashes insoluble in acid. Time and hour of harvesting influenced on drug’s quality, but it maintained the requirements necessary for its use. That’s why, it was considered feasible to obtain this drug under the conditions of our country.
