A descriptive, qualitative-quantitative cross-sectional study was carried out to describe how managers, decision-makers and social leaders perceive intersectoral actions for the prevention and control of Non-Communicable Diseases, in the Santa Rita Popular Council, belonging to the “David Moreno Domínguez” Teaching Polyclinic” health area, during the period between 2019 and 2020. The sample consisted of a universe of 99 actors from organizations and social organizations, where 63 of them were selected by simple random sampling, to which a survey prepared by the author about it. The increase in patients with decompensated Non-Communicable Diseases who attend family doctors' offices and emergency services, due to failures in intersectoral actions, among other causes, became the health problem for study. Health managers, social leaders and decision-makers had the greatest perception of the concept of Intersectoriality, the intersectoral participation prevailed in an induced way, with poor recognition of the sectors that should participate in the intersectoral processes for the prevention and control of these diseases, Ignorance prevails about the local council for health as the main setting for the discussion and execution of intersectoral action, with a predominance among the participants that the functioning of the Intersectorality in the Popular Council of Santa Rita is deficient for the prevention and control of Non communicable Diseases.
