The universe consisted of 60 patients and 48 providers (doctors). Predominantly the male sex with 32 people for 53 %, the most significant age group was the one of over 30 years, presenting values of uric acid within the reference intervals in 48 patients, however, these reflected symptoms of gout, related with inadequate educational work and the low level of cognition and interpretation of the values of regulated intervals for the diagnosis of gout by providers.
