Abstract

Since the beginning of the XX century the use of diverse animals began with therapeutic aims in different types of institutions, for the physical, psychological and social benefits that provides its relationship with the human beings that allows to maintain or to improve the people life quality. The elaboration of this article was justified by the insufficient bibliographical references on the topic in the country and the necessity of systematizing the use of these techniques as a source of the occupational therapist's resource in the rehabilitation process.
