Skin is the first defensive barrier of the organism, but this function gets lost in the patient with serious burns, whose main cause of death are the infections due to the presence of favorable conditions for the colonization of pathogens. This important health problem motivated to communicate briefly about the resistance to the antimicrobial therapeutics in patients assisted in the Caumatology Service from Santiago de Cuba, during the first semester of 2012
