A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted in municipalities from Villa Clara with the highest density of ageing population during 2018: Camajuaní, Placetas, Ranchuelo and Santa Clara. The objective of the research was to characterize the quality of life according to the GENCAT Scale, based on data issued by the National Office of Statistics and Information, as well as family health histories. The study universe consisted of 9874 adults over 85 years of age. The sample was made up of 367 people, who were selected by means of stratified random sampling. Numbers, percentages and the association between variables were used by means of Kruskal-Wallis test. Female gender, age group from 85 to 89 years old, white skin in Placetas municipality, urban origin, easy access to health services, with percentage differences among municipalities were the predominant variables. Camajuaní had the highest quality of life profile.
