Abstract

A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in the health area of ‟Chiqui Gómez” Polyclinic in Santa Clara municipality, Villa Clara from November 2018 to September 2019 in order to identify and characterize lesions and premalignant states of the oral cavity in patients with risk factors associated. The sample consisted of 71 patients. Male gender and aged 60 years and over predominated. Smoking and alcoholism were the prevalent associated factors. Leukoplakia and nevus were among the most frequently identified lesions and premalignant states, respectively.
