Abstract

Introduction: pedagogical practice involves the need for technological means for teaching-learning process of acupuncture, as a therapy of great applicability in dental practice, considering the effects that can occur in the human body. Objective: to develop educational software to promote learning of Acupuncture in Stomatology career. Methods: an investigation of Technological Innovation, Acupunsoft, from October 2011 to March 2012 was performed. The necessary information on the topic was found.   Theoretical and practical design was developed. The software was developed considering the contents of every subject. Practical activities were performed by training sections. The empirical method Expert Consultation was used, following the methodology established for the implementation of the software. The statistical analysis was done. Results: the Experts considered that the software was of high competence for the learning of Acupuncture in Stomatology career. Conclusions: evaluation of software by experts proved its effectiveness   for Natural and Traditional Medicine subject, as well as, for learning of Acupuncture in Stomatology career.
