The congenital anomalies of the development of genital are not frequent in girls. Imperforated hymen is a relatively rare disease, produced by the absence of the central orifice of the hymen that impedes the normal drain of the cervical and uterine secretions. A 14- year- old patient, virgin, with history of amenorrhoea, pains in low part of the abdomen with cyclic with intervals of approximately 21 days and increase of volume in this area. She was attended at Pediatric Emergency Service. The clinical and radiological (ultrasound) diagnosis was done. The patient was referred to the Surgery Service of Octavio de la Concepción y de la Pedraja Pediatric Hospital of Holguín. She underwent surgery without complications.
