The future of the health professional must meet the administrative function as one of the five basic ones, among its objectives: the implementation of economic knowledge to the rational use of resources and mobilization Health System. Based on an initial diagnosis, raised the practical need to encourage the development of economic education in students, especially in those of third-year of Mariana Grajales Coello University of Medical Sciences, as an alternative to empower them, the development of values that guarantee the quality and excellence of services that Cuban society requires. A methodological alternative for economic education, which is based on the basic components of the teaching -learning process which is output to the objectives of economic education, with suggestions developed by topics and objectives of the Internal Medicine subject. Evidences and concrete examples of the cost of each service or treatment within the content of each issue and possible ways of evaluating pointing education of future professionals are presented. This methodology can (as modified) be apply to any other subject or specialty of health system.
