Abstract

PEREZ OCHOA, Orlando  and  HIJUELOS PUPO, Néstor. The Access to the Health Services in Cuba: A Constitutional Right. ccm [online]. 2015, vol.19, n.3, pp. 515-520. ISSN 1560-4381.

The article is about an interesting topic for the health professionals, that is related to the importance of having an elemental knowledge on the constitutional precepts of our written constitution document to be observed in medical services. The topic gives an ethical and legal approach through the constitutionals principles that guarantee the recognition and security of human rights in Cuba, particularly the right to health services. In the legal approach, the authors emphasize on the meaning of having a general knowledge in reference to the content of the constitutional precepts that support the Cubans rights to the access to health services, this knowledge protects the professionals of medicine in the sense of avoiding violating events  of these rights and their consequences as well as the legal responsibility before any affected person. In this sense a principle is emphasized: The sine quanom of rights in each state: “The ungratefulness of the laws does not elude people from its accomphishment”
