Prostate cancer has high mortality rate, ranking the second place in Cuba, only surpassed by tumors of the larynx, trachea and lungs, it has similar incidence in Holguín province where the multidisciplinary Uro-oncology group works. Mortality statistics and trends from prostate cancer in the province of Holguín and Cuba were reviewed. It allowed to prove a clear trend towards increased mortality from prostate cancer in the province of Holguín with rate 52.4 per 100 000 inhabitants in 2015. The multidisciplinary group of Uro-oncology of Vladimir Ilich Lenin Hospital in Holguín in Cuba proposed an action plan to reduce mortality from this cause with its corresponding algorithm work.
