Abstract

The aims of this article are to elevate the legal knowledge in health care workers, and share the results of investigations of the matter. It is compulsory to prevent negative conducts towards patients, and minimize the risk to society. Today, the importance of the elementary knowledge of the Cuban Medical and Criminal codes, had become key matters for health care professionals. The neglecting of the norms for patients attention, becomes a main cause for criminal behavior, which affects both, professional and patient. Never forget the law: “ignorance of law is not a reason for the impunity of criminals”. Here we picture cases which provide the reader a closer approach to these negative acts. A contribution to modify the health care workers behavior in a positive way, eliminate criminal acts, and preserve the moral and legal image of the health care workers in Cuba.
