Abstract

A different point of view about informational literacy (ALFIN in Cuba) as a top issue today, is offered on this research. Its theoretical postulates, models, norms and programs are included. In order to diagnose the level of informational knowledge of readers of the university libraries, a survey was applied. The targets were the Medical Information Center and the Oscar Lucero Moya University, both in Holguín province. Based on these results, an enforcement program was designed for all domestic institutions.
