Abstract

CARRILLO SALOMON, Ricardo  and  DIESTE SANCHEZ, Waldo. Tendencias actuales en el análisis económico de la morbilidad laboral. Rev Cubana Hig Epidemiol [online]. 2000, vol.38, n.1, pp. 60-67. ISSN 1561-3003.

Present trends in the analysis of economic losses from occupational morbidity were assessed, taking into account the used tools which are developed in three ways: models, methods and indicators. It can be stated that indicators are the tools that suit more to the conditions of the Cuban economy; they were validated during their experimental application in different work centers of the country. It was concluded that they are the most suitable tools for assessing the economic effect of morbidity on state workplaces under Cuban economic conditions. Two new indicators are suggested.

Keywords : ECONOMIC ANALYSIS; MORBIDITY [trends]; OCCUPATIONAL MEDICINE [trand].
