ABSTRACT This research paper approaches to the topic of the economic culture which has a great importance in national and international contexts where the medical professionals interact as part of the comprehensive culture in the Battle of Ideas of the Cuban Revolution. In this sense, a theoretical basis was analyzed to the formation of an economic culture in medical students enrolled in the first academic year at "Ernesto Guevara de la Serna" Medical University in Pinar del Rio. Methodological actions having an interdisciplinary feature were suggested aimed at developing an educative work to be taught by the professors from a curricular dimension of the teaching-learning process, and supported on empirical and theoretical methods of scientific research presenting an educative feature with qualitative approach
