Abstract

MARTINEZ GONZALEZ, Yoel; MENDEZ VALDES, Odalys; RAMOS JOSEPHCO, Mario  and  GARCIA CORTES, Daniel. A new model proposal to estimate monthly Vento channel discharges. Ing. hidrául. ambient. [online]. 2023, vol.44, n.1, pp. 24-36.  Epub Mar 03, 2023. ISSN 2788-6050.

At present contribution, a new model is proposed to estimate monthly discharges to the Vento channel. This model depends directly on the behavior of rainfall, temperatures and extractions in the Almendares - Vento basin. During the calibration, the parameters related to the volume drained by the Vento aquifer and those that characterize its decay were identified. The model performance, according to the Kling-Gupta criterion, was characterized by the high computational efficiencies achieved, proving to be totally satisfactory when contrasted with the measurements of circulation depth in the Vento channel for the periods analyzed, exhibiting great adaptability for different exploitation scenarios and rainfall variability.
