Abstract

The Specialized Center of Medical Informatics Solutions specializes in the development of health software products. The implementation of systems to support clinical and administrative services can be found among its main goals. This paper focuses on the health software development model in our center, which shows the integration among the different knowledge areas and aims the health systems' interoperability. The research describes the software development process, where some students and professors from the University of Information Sciences become the main actors. On the other hand, the procedure is discussed through a graphic view of the process, supported by a textual description of its activities, required roles in a project, responsibilities and skills in order to reach optimum performance.
