Inequity in health services as an expression of unfair politics; globalization in its neoliberal version; the necessity to find new ways to improve the environment and other serious problems; the importance of the economic and social processes and their decisive influence when evaluating the state of a population's health. In order to contribute to clarify the interrelation among these phenomena an analysis is carried out and conclusions are emitted
