Abstract

PILA PEREZ, Rafael; HOLGUIN PRIETO, Victor  and  ROSALES TORRES, Pedro. Porokeratosis of Mibelli. Medisur [online]. 2011, vol.9, n.3, pp. 278-285. ISSN 1727-897X.

The case study of a family carrying Porokeratosis of Mibelli is presented. This entity is very rare to be found in our country. Etiological, histopathological and clinical aspects are provided in this article. The importance of prophylaxis and monitoring of these patients is strongly emphasized due to the potential risk of malignancies they present. Finally, it has been concluded that knowledge on porokeratosis is essential to several medical specialities, such as genetics, dermatology, internal medicine, pathology and oncology.
