Abstract

PROSSER BRAVO, Gabriel; PEREZ LIENQUEO, Marcela  and  PROSSER GONZALEZ, Carlos. Central components of a local environmental education program from the perspective of its participants. EduSol [online]. 2020, vol.20, n.70, pp. 14-29.  Epub Feb 17, 2020. ISSN 1729-8091.

There is a high degree of mistrust in how environmental education programs are being implemented, because the elements that would affect the achievement of the objectives of these interventions are unknown. From the perspective of the central components, we investigated those core elements of a local environmental education program, through the holding of focus groups with 33 managers and 37 coordinating teachers of environmental issues in the establishments that are part of the program. Four components of intervention were identified, namely, 1) the Eco-Citizenship, 2) the greening of the school, 3) institutional Environmentalization and 4) Territorial Environmental Sensitization.

Keywords : Evaluation of components; Environmental education; Evaluation of programs; Evaluation of implementation.
