Abstract

DIEZ IRIZAR, Gisela Aquilea; HERRERA SANCHEZ, Beatriz  and  FLORES HERNANDEZ, Jesús Alejandro. Research on the grammatical incompetence of university students in Mexico. EduSol [online]. 2020, vol.20, n.70, pp. 30-40.  Epub Feb 17, 2020. ISSN 1729-8091.

The grammatical incompetence of Mexican university students affects their writings in their mother tongue. Teachers from various university institutions in the country, concerned about this reality, have made inquiries in this regard with matching results. In this article, an analysis of these investigations and the proposals made by the authors to solve the problems detected was made. It is concluded that the proposals made have not brought satisfactory results and the same problem remains.

Keywords : Grammatical incompetence; Linguistic competences; Academic texts; Spanish lexical categories.
