Abstract

The paper presents the first stage of an investigation into the use of artificial lakes as urban water infrastructure pondering the landscape. Sprawl problems of Mexican cities respond, first to the market needs and omit the process of sustainability should be scrupulously observed. This research focuses on the fate of stormwater runoff in urban areas as use them to their advantage. Through the document analysis and work synthesis expose the theoretical and methodological foundations to structure the research and raises indicators that assess the theory in a specific instance, as a second stage of the research, to provide clues and perspectives with possibilities to be applied on similar cases.
